Rabbits were very important to the people of the Great Basin especially when colder weather started to hasten.

The people made clothing from the rabbit’s fur and ate the meat in a delicious stew. Whose taste was hard to beat? So to capture as many rabbits that they could a rabbit roundup was done which was very, very good.
